Shadows

The shadows are dark, so long and deep

See them by day and in your sleep

It’s hard to tell the night from day

The shadows are there, there’re in the way

But look, look hard, there is some light

Not bright as before that awful night

But shine it does, some short some long      

The shadows will fade, the light will be strong
